White House Press Secretary Karoline Propoganda Barbie Leavitt wears a cross at almost all times, as does Pam Bondi, who once lost a custody case over a dog she tried to steal after Hurricane Katrina (at least she didn’t shoot it like Ice Ice Barbie Kristi Noem, who prefers cosplay over crosses).
Leavitt was wearing a cross when she called Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “deported illegal alien MS-13 terrorist” and saying that Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen as a Democrat has “refused to accept the will of the American people” by flying the other day to El Salvador in an effort to ascertain the status of his illegally deported fellow Marylander.
Leavitt has also mocked Garcia, saying “Based on the sensationalism of many of the people in this room, you would think we deported a candidate for Father of the Year,” during a fiery press briefing, and said the “Democrat and media outrage” over the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been “nothing short of despicable.”
The administration has so far done nothing in the wake of a Supreme Court order to “facilitate” the return of Abrego Garcia, who was deported to a Salvadoran mega-prison four weeks ago. In court filings, the Trump administration admitted the deportation of Abrego Garcia was an “administrative error.” Maryland Judge Paula Xinis ruled that Ábrego García's removal from the country breached a 2019 court order that had granted him legal protection from deportation.
Van Hollen called on the Central American country to release "a man who's charged with no crime, convicted of no crime and who was illegally abducted from the United States,” and as a Democrat was denied access to the prison while Republican Congressman Riley Moore not only entered the prison, but posed with inmates while smiling and giving two thumbs up. The wife of Garcia, though she’d previously filed a restraining order in 2021, has pleaded for his return.
Leavitt irks me. She ran a propaganda session instead of a news conference the other day, ghoulishly parading the mother of a murder victim in front of the media to distract from the Garcia case, not taking questions and abruptly leaving. She’s passive-aggressive, unprofessional, and stacks the press room with friendly faces, like The Pillow Guy network rep. She says really dumb things like “boys will be boys and you guys should all be grateful we have the most transparent administration in history.”
Thank Jesus there’s a Karoline Leavitt impersonator Lisandro Vasquez wearing plastic Easter egg cross necklaces and saying “Abrego Ocasio Cortez” because if there wasn’t this SNL-quality TikTok sketch to make us laugh, it would be too much.
I think Jesus was a chill guy. I don’t think he’d be cool with all the intolerant, immigrant-hating horseshit that’s going on right now. Trump and company don’t do anything but go around kicking over sandcastles. Whether it’s taking out revenge on the entire state of Maine because strong women like their governor had the audacity to say she’d follow state and federal law, needlessly hauling PhD students off their campuses or cutting funding for countless federal agencies that help everyday Americans, crashing the stock market to make billionaires richer and poor people poorer, this administration has caused nothing but harm. They’re not making America safer, they’re deporting innocent people for political theater.
I’m not much of a church-goer but I remember a Bible story or two and this reminds me of what Jesus said he wasn’t into, which was some temple money-changers. Maybe Pam and Karoline and even Trump should take a look inside all those Made in China Trump bibles they peddle while they wear those crosses of hypocrisy.
