Christopher Alan “Tricky” Stewart: It’s kind of like a job interview, someone comes in, they’re gonna say everything that needs to be said in order to get the thing.
Gottlieb: I probably have it in a crate somewhere. It cannot simulate what we are accustomed to calling real space.
Stewart: So we’re here to figure out the thing that’s not happening.
Gottlieb: Very little. Everything.

Stewart: You can’t burn those bridges. One is Los Angeles, and the other one is Atlanta.
Gottlieb: I was away from the New York scene and started using the material that was at hand.
Stewart: But I would say be catchy, be iconic, and have vision.
Gottlieb: Now you see everybody using cadmium, the most brilliant colors, Dayglo colors.
Stewart: More hooks than a tackle box as I like to say.

Gottlieb: Then, since there was no chronology, there was no rational order.
Stewart: It’s just you didn’t pay attention to how they were, when they were, you know, when you didn’t have to pay attention.
Gottlieb: Yes, to a certain extent. There were cycles like that.
Stewart: And it’s kept me in a nice grounded place.
Gottlieb: Oh, the money ran out.
