Dennis “Ghostface Killah” Coles: You travel. You go into the next dimension.
Errol Morris: You don’t get to do that every day, and it’s something that I’m immensely proud of.
Coles: [laughs] What else could you really ask for?
Morris: It’s pretty frightening, actually.
Coles: There’s another level to this.
•••
Morris: We tell ourselves so many stories about the world, about ourselves, about other people, that invariably we lose track of what’s real and what’s imaginary.
Coles: That’s what we need to talk about.
Morris: No. Just think for a second.
Coles: You think you’re feeling mad happy, and you could be happy, but for every action, there’s an equal reaction. That’s what I believe.
Morris: Can anybody do anything about it?
•••
Coles: Whatever you’re doing, if it’s a little bit negative, just don’t overdo it.
Morris: The ugly reality is that there may be no such thing.
Coles: Yeah, they come and show me a bunch of things. And they had a vision.
Morris: And then, they find a pair of pants hidden behind the safe, with a note attached to it, which turns this whole historical investigation into some grim joke.
Coles: I just know that this is real.
